VII All-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference GTO Complex for People with Disabilities Theory and Practice

On June 7, 2024, P.F. Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health in St. Petersburg hosted the VII All-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference "All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex 'Ready for Labor and Defense' (GTO) for People with Disabilities: Theory and Practice". The event was dedicated to the Year of Family and preservation of traditional family values, and was held in a hybrid format using modern information technologies.

Conference participants and guests were welcomed by Alexey Alekseevich Morozov, Deputy Minister of Sports, and Pavel Alekseevich Rozhkov, President of the Russian Paralympic Committee. Greetings were also received from the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, the Committee for Education, and the Committee for Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations of St. Petersburg. Anton Vladimirovich Solovyev, Deputy of the 7th convocation of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly, also congratulated the conference participants.

 

Sergey Alekseevich Vorobyov, Director of FSBI SPbNIIFK, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Associate Professor, participated in the conference as a member of the organizing committee.

The event brought together representatives from 15 regions of the Russian Federation, as well as guests from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. During the conference, more than 30 reports were presented.

The conference addressed the interests of various age groups and became an important social event. Its main objectives remain: promoting adaptive physical education and healthy lifestyles among broader segments of the population, increasing motivation among people with disabilities and health impairments, and improving their quality of life and social adaptation.

В соответствии с Постановлением Президиума ЦИК СССР от 27 июля 1932 года на базе Государственного института физического образования (ГИФО) им. П.Ф. Лесгафта в январе 1933 года был создан Научный институт им. П.Ф. Лесгафта, впоследствии - Ленинградский научно-исследовательский институт физической культуры (ЛНИИФК).

Первоначально Институт располагался на проспекте Динамо дом 2 (с 1933 по 2008 г.)
