From February 9th to 15th, 2026, the Russian Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Championship was held in Chaykovsky (Perm Krai).
Research scientists from FSBI SPbNIIFK (The Division of Modern Technologies of Training for High Trained Athletes), G.G. Zakharov and A.N. Belyova, undertook a business trip to this sporting event to collect data for the research project “Development and scientific justification of a methodology for technical training of women in ski jumping and Nordic combined”.

Over four days, video recordings were made of the jumping technique of all competitors on the K95 meter hill and their skating technique. This will allow for the determination of the key kinematic characteristics of the athletes during the jump and ski race, and provide an objective assessment of their technical skill.

During this trip, athletes were also tested to determine their speed-strength abilities using a tensometric platform in laboratory conditions. A total of 45 participants of the Russian Championship were examined.
As part of the provision of scientific-methodological support, in accordance with the cooperation agreement with the Perm Regional Federation "Flying Skier", testing on the tensometric platform was carried out for 9 young ski jumpers from Chaykovsky.

The results of the video analysis and laboratory testing will be presented to coaches of regional and national teams.
