In the period from August 03 to 08, 2025, Anna Leonidovna Lebedeva, Ph.D. in Psychology, Senior Researcher of The Division of Modern Technologies of Training for High Trained Athletes, and Evgeny Vladimirovich Ageev, Junior Researcher of The Division of Sports Physiology, took part in a training event of the Paralympic swimming team for athletes with physical impairments in Ruza (Moscow Region). The goal of the work of the comprehensive scientific group was to collect materials on the S&T support for the Russian Paralympic swimming team to address the tasks of the second (interim) stage of the technical assignment for the research work under the state contract No. 777-00002-25-00.
Lebedeva A.L. performed above-water and underwater video recording of all phases of starts performed by para-swimmers for subsequent biomechanical analysis; Ageev E.V. assessed the individual reaction speed of athletes to the start signal.
The developed set of exercises for improving starts in para-swimmers was tested and verified.
During the assessment of starts performed by swimmers with physical impairments, the staff of the FSBI SPbNIIFK, together with the coaching staff, conducted an expert evaluation based on specific qualitative indicators of the protocol for assessing start elements in para-swimmers of different sport-functional classes.
