Sergey A. Vorobyov, Director of FSBI SPbNIIFK, participated in the International Scientific-Practical Conference "Sports. Medicine. Science" dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Republican Sports Research and Practical Center. The conference was held on October 10-11, 2024, at the National Olympic Committee of Belarus and the Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Sports (Minsk, Republic of Belarus).
Welcoming speeches were delivered by V.A. Lukashenko, President of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus; M.V. Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus; A.I. Ivanets, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus; A.V. Dorokhovich, First Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus; and I.A. Malyovannaya, Director of the State Institution "Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Sports," who spoke about the history and achievements of the center, along with other officials of the Republic of Belarus.
The anniversary of the center was congratulated by B.A. Polyaev, President of the Russian Association of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation of Patients and Disabled Persons; B. Erdenevaanchig, Director of the Center for Sports Medicine and Scientific Research of Mongolia; Z. Kakhabrishvili, President of the Georgian Association of Sports Medicine; K.K. Sirozhitdinov, Director of the Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Sports Medicine under the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and others.
On October 11, as part of the conference, a ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement took place between the State Institution "Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Sports" and the Federal State Budgetary Institution "St. Petersburg Scientific-Research Institute for Physical Culture."
The ceremony was attended by Irina A. Malyovannaya, Director of the State Institution "Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Sports," Chair of the Public Association "Belarusian Association of Sports Medicine," Ph.D. in Medicine, Associate Professor; and Sergey A. Vorobyov, Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "St. Petersburg Scientific-Research Institute for Physical Culture," Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Associate Professor.
