On October 30-31, 2025, the 2nd All-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference with International Participation "Modern Approaches to Improving the System of Physical Culture and Sports" was held. The conference was organized and conducted on the basis of the FSBI "St. Petersburg Research Institute of Physical Culture" (SPbNIIFK) in accordance with the Plan for conducting scientific congresses and conferences of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation for 2025.
The head of the organizing committee of the conference and the chairman of the plenary session was the Director of the FSBI SPbNIIFK, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Associate Professor, holder of the honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation", Sergey Alekseevich Vorobyev.
The conference was attended by practicing specialists, leading researchers, coaches, doctors, sports teachers, and other professionals from various state, non-state institutions, and international organizations specializing in physical culture and sports, sports reserve training, mass and recreational physical culture, sports pedagogy, and related fields from different regions of Russia and neighboring countries.
The total number of participants was about 500 people from more than 20 regions of Russia and other countries (Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Brazil, etc.).
The conference was held in a mixed (in-person/remote) format. The conference program consisted of 52 reports, including in-person presentations, video conferences, and 14 poster presentations. At the beginning of the conference, a welcoming address to the participants was delivered by Sergey Alekseevich Vorobyev, Director of the FSBI SPbNIIFK, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Associate Professor, Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation.

Next, Sergey Alekseevich read out the text of a welcoming address from Maksim Yuryevich Boev, Deputy Director of the Department of Education, Science and International Relations of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, Ph.D. in History, Associate Professor.
Via video conference, the conference participants were greeted by Sergey Petrovich Evseev, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Vice President of the Paralympic Committee of Russia, President of the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Intellectual Impairments, Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Adaptive Physical Culture at the FSBEI HE "P.F. Lesgaft National State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Health".

- Yury Alekseevich Nazarenko, Associate Professor, Senior Coach of the Russian National Para Swimming Team for Athletes with Physical Impairments, Honored Coach of Russia, Director of the MBEI AE "Sports School 'Zarya'" (Dzerzhinsk), with a report on "Achievements of the Paralympic Swimming Team at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore";

- Nikolay Ivanovich Sinyavsky, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Education at the BI "Surgut State Pedagogical University" (Surgut), with a report on "Problems and Prospects for Increasing the Motor Activity of Future Teachers";

- Valery Vladimirovich Kleshnev, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Senior Research Fellow at the FSBI SPbNIIFK, with a report on "Structure of Criteria for the Effectiveness of Rowing Technique";

- Snezana Alexandrovna Khazova – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the FSBEI HE "Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev" (Astrakhan), with a report on "Readiness of Physical Education Teachers to Use the Competitively Developing Potential of Physical Education in the Educational Process".

- Firuza Rakhmatullovna Zotova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Advisor to the Rector, and Adel Ilshatovich Garifullin, Postgraduate Student, Senior Lecturer, FSBEI HE "Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism" (Kazan), with a joint report on "Content Component of the Methodology for Ensuring the Motor Readiness of Beginner Cross-Country Skiers to Master Skiing Techniques";


- Natalya Villievna Peshkova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Physical Culture, Professor at the BI HE of KhMAO-Yugra "Surgut State University" and Anna Alexandrovna Bozhenko, Specialist in Educational and Methodological Work at the Institute of Professional Education of Indigenous Peoples of Yugra (Surgut), with a joint report on "Assessment of the Psychophysiological Development of Khanty Adolescents";


Via video conference, Pedro Paolo da Silva Soares, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology of the Federal University Fluminense (Brazil), with whom the FSBI SPbNIIFK has a cooperation agreement, delivered a presentation. During his report on "The Impact of Thermal Environment on Physiological Responses and Performance in Rowers", simultaneous translation from English was provided by Valery Vladimirovich Kleshnev, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Senior Research Fellow at the FSBI SPbNIIFK.


During the conference, staff of the FSBI SPbNIIFK conducted 2 master classes. Andrey Ivanovich Grebennikov, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Senior Research Fellow of the Division of Physical Rehabilitation and Health Technologies, author of patented massage techniques and 6 monographs, editor of the journal "Massage. Body Aesthetics", conducted an in-person master class "Manual Techniques for Increasing Physical Performance in Sports".


The master class presented massage techniques with selective, accentuated impact on muscle tissue or subcutaneous fat, taking into account the physiological characteristics of the subject.

Yaroslav Valeryevich Golub, Ph.D. in Medical Sciences, Head of the Division of Sports Physiology, conducted a remote master class "Hardware Technologies for Assessing Psychophysiological Indicators in Sports".

The live broadcast of the conference sessions allowed more than 500 people from different cities of Russia and neighboring countries to follow its progress in real time. Based on the results of the conference, a resolution was prepared and unanimously adopted by the participants.
A collection of conference materials is being prepared for publication, consisting of 79 scientific publications, with an assigned ISBN identifier, which will be included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) and posted in the scientific electronic library eLIBRARY.RU.
