From May 30 to June 1, 2025, the first stage of the "Optimists of the Northern Capital. Gazprom Cup" regatta series took place in the waters of the Gulf of Finland in St. Petersburg.
This is the largest series of youth regattas in Russia. This year, the first stage of the regatta was attended by 190 racers from eight regions of Russia, as well as a team from Belarus.
The event was attended by Victoria Valeryevna Georgiadi, a research fellow at the Laboratory of Psychology and Psychophysiology of Sports at FSBI SPbNIIFK, and a national category judge.
