From April 23 to 24, 2025, the 3rd All-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference "Modern Directions of Innovative Research by Young Scientists in Physical Education and Sports" was successfully held at the FSBI "St. Petersburg Scientific-Research Institute for Physical Culture." The event was conducted in accordance with the 2025 Plan of Scientific Congresses and Conferences of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
Maxim Yuryevich Boev, Deputy Director of the Department of Education, Science, and International Relations of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, sent a welcoming address to the participants and organizers. In his message, he emphasized the high relevance of innovative research by young scientists and the implementation of new technologies in physical education and sports.
Sergey Alekseevich Vorobyov, Director of the FSBI "St. Petersburg Scientific-Research Institute for Physical Culture" (PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor), delivered a welcoming speech. He noted the growing interest in the conference among young researchers from various regions of the Russian Federation and CIS countries, as well as the importance of exchanging opinions and research results within the postgraduate and young researcher community.
Young scientists discussed modern trends in innovative research in physical education and sports, presenting their findings on a wide range of topics aligned with the conference’s main themes.
Conference Themes:
1) Current state, challenges, and future research in physical education, sports training, health-improving, and adaptive physical culture in the Russian Federation.
2) Innovative technologies in scientific research in physical education and sports.
3) Psychophysiological and biomedical support for training and sports activities.
4) Psychological-pedagogical, health-improving, and rehabilitation technologies in physical education, sports, and adaptive physical culture.
5) Innovations and modern developments in adaptive physical culture (AFC) and Paralympic sports.
The conference featured 24 in-person and 58 remote presentations.

The winners were congratulated by Sergey Alekseevich Vorobyov, Director of the St. Petersburg Scientific-Research Institute for Physical Culture.
The conference brought together 119 participants, including postgraduate students, young researchers from universities, research institutes, and laboratories across Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Surgut, Omsk, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Voronezh, Bryansk, Sochi, etc.), as well as representatives from Belarus, Moldova, and Egypt.
Two masterclasses were held, introducing participants to modern research approaches in physical education and sports at the St. Petersburg Scientific-Research Institute for Physical Culture. The sessions were led by:
- Yaroslav Valeryevich Golub, Head of the Sports Physiology Sector (PhD in Medical Sciences);
- Tatyana Vitalievna Krasnoperova, Head of the Adaptive Physical Culture and Sports for Persons with Disabilities Sector (PhD in Biological Sciences).
Following the conference, a proceedings collection will be published, indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) and available on the eLibrary.ru platform. A total of 60 articles have been accepted for publication.
