On April 16-17, 2026, Lesgaft University, Saint-Petersburg, with the support and participation of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Federal Center for the Preparation of Sports Reserves, and the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Saint-Petersburg Government, hosted the All-Russian Seminar “Adaptive Physical Culture and Adaptive Sport. Theory, Practice, New Challenges”.
From FSBI SPbNIIFK, the seminar was attended by the acting director, Phd in Economics, Associate Professor P.A. Bulochnikov, chief researcher of the sector for research of socio-economic processes in physical culture and sport, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Phd in Economics, Professor A.D. Evmenov, and head of the Division of Development of Adaptive Physical Culture and Sports for Disabled People, Phd in Biology, Associate Professor T.V. Krasnoperova.

The acting director of FSBI SPbNIIFK, Phd in Economics, Associate Professor P.A. Bulochnikov, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the All-Russian Seminar, noting that the Saint-Petersburg Scientific Research Institute for Physical Culture has been providing scientific and methodological support for the educational and training process in adaptive sports for over twenty years, working specifically with Paralympic national teams and regional teams.

Over the period 2009-2025, 70 research and scientific-methodical works were completed, which develop organizational and methodological approaches and investigate the training and competitive activities of Paralympic athletes. In 2026, this work continues with the implementation of 4 research and scientific-methodical topics.
The traditions laid down by the Vice President of the Paralympic Committee of Russia, the President of the All-Russian Federation for athletes with intellectual impairment, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor S.P. Evseev, and Doctor of Pedagogy, Associate Professor A.A. Baryayev, are preserved and successfully implemented within the walls of our institute.
Following this, T.V. Krasnoperova delivered a report on the topic "Scientific and Methodological Support of the Educational and Training Process in Adaptive Sports."
At the seminar venue, the acting director, Phd in Economics, Associate Professor P.A. Evseev, and the vice-rector for science, innovation and digital transformation at Lesgaft University, Saint-Petersburg, Doctor of Pedagogy, Associate Professor A.A. Baryayev, director of the Institute of Adaptive Physical Culture at Lesgaft University, Saint-Petersburg, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor O.E. Evseeva, and the vice-rector for educational and upbringing work, Doctor of Pedagogy, Associate Professor M.Yu. Shchennikova.
