From March 13th to 15th, 2026, an All-Russian methodological seminar took place in the village of Smolyachkovo, bringing together coaches, organizers, and sports judges from across the country.
On February 25–26, 2026, the fourth Forum of Future Technologies took place in Moscow, at the International Trade Centre. This leading industry event gathered leading scientists, representatives of high-tech businesses, and key government bodies, and was dedicated to the formation of the bioeconomy in Russia and the application of biotechnology in various industries.
From February 23rd to 28th, the XIII Winter Student (Junior) Spartakiad of Russia 2026 was held in Nizhny Tagil (Sverdlovsk Oblast), where over seventy athletes from 12 regions competed in ski jumping and Nordic combined on a K90 meter hill.
On March 3, 2026, a successful PhD dissertation defence took place in the dissertation council 38.2.005.02 of the Lesgaft University, Saint-Petersburg in the scientific speciality 5.8.6 – corrective and adaptive physical culture. The dissertation was defended by Yurchenko Tatyana Ivanovna, a graduating postgraduate student of our institute, on the topic: "Game Technologies in Physical Culture and Health-Improving Activities for Preschool Children with Disabilities in Mixed-Type Groups."
The traditional All-Russian competitions in ski jumping, the “Winter Kavgolovo Games,” took place in Kavgolovo village (Leningrad Region) on January 21-22, 2026, where young athletes from various regions of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan competed.
The City Snowkiting Championships and First Place Tournament in the "Ski Course-Race" and "Board Course-Race" disciplines took place in the Gulf of Finland, St. Petersburg, from February 27th to March 1st, 2026.
On February 27, the IX All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Management Issues and Innovations in Physical Culture, Rehabilitation, Recreation, and Sports and Health Tourism” took place at the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism (Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan).
Collaboration between FSBI SPbNIIFK and St. Petersburg State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health (Lesgaft University) is a key area for the development of the country's scientific potential.
From February 18th to 21st, 2026, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Issues of Adaptive Physical Culture and Sport" took place at the Siberian State University of Physical Culture and Sport (SibGUFK, Omsk). The event was held as part of the XV Anniversary Festival of Adaptive Physical Culture.
